Blueberry Banana Smoothie
HORMONE BALANCING
Hormones control so much in our body and the foods we eat can impact them greatly. Smoothies can be a great way to start your day and leave you feeling full for hours with little blood sugar spikes. There are three main elements that make a hormone balancing smoothie! Protein, Healthy Fats, & Fiber.
This recipe has all three, is easy to make, portable, nutrient dense, yummy, and keeps us full for several hours. Did we mention it's YUMMY?!
First, add your fruit to the blender. For this recipe it is fresh banana and frozen blueberries
Next add your favorite nut butter. This is your FIRST main element to a hormone balancing smoothie... a healthy fat! Other healthy fats to add can be avocado or MCT Oil.
The SECOND main element is fiber this is from the chia seeds.
The THIRD main element is protein... add in your plant based protein and even better add in Collagen Peptides for that extra skin boost.
You're almost done!
Add in your plant-based milk and blend away!
Now you have a delicious, hormone balancing smoothie that you can enjoy any time and any where.
BLUEBERRY BANANA SMOOTHIE:
TIME: 10 MINTUES
YIELD: 1 SHAKE
INGREIDENTS:
- 1 Whole Banana
- 1 cup Frozen Blueberries
- 1/2 scoop Collagen Peptides
- 1 scoop Protein of Choice *flavors: vanilla, peanut butter, birthday cake, etc.)
- 1 tbsp Peanut Butter (or other nut butter)
- 1 tbsp Cinnamon
- 2 tsp Chia Seeds
- 1 cup Cashew Milk (other plant milk)
DIRECTIONS:
- Add Ingredients to blender
- Blend Together until smooth
- Add in extra cashew milk if needed
